My Plex server picks up TV shows from the DVR guide but links them to the wrong version of the show. e.g. New Amsterdam (2018) is currently airing but Plex links it to the New Amsterdam (2008) version so shows and name the episodes all wrong. Plex is doing the best it can as the guide only say “New Amsterdam”.
My Question is how do I correct the pending recordings to reflect the correct Show. I now how to “Fix” existing shows in my library but not new or pending recordings. I am running he latest Plex Servers versions and My DVR is HDHomeRun Connect DUO
If the guide data is incomplete or incorrect as your example suggests I unfortunately have no solution to correct this. I’ve seen this issue occur once before as well with a series recording I setup for my Wife “Charmed (2018)” recorded as “Charmed (1998)”.
To manually correct this after the the recording has completed successfully, simply navigate to the folder and change the folder and resultant file name to properly match the year. Then re-scan the “TV Shows” Library.
In the web client, click the 3-dot menu on the show (not the individual episode) and choose Fix Match. This did it for me on New Amsterdam.
Thanks guy yes I can correct the folder and “Fix” it post recoding but I have not found a way to fix the pending recordings and when they occur the system creates another new folder under the wrong series
