I just installed Plex for HTPC since I was informed that PMP is no longer supported, and while it finds my media (as well as much other media) it does not seem to be ab le to play any of it. It spins and spins until I get “an unexpected error” .
Are there any troubleshooting tips I can get?

Not aware of such issues and it seems to be working fine on my desktop.
Maybe there’s something in the client logs?

Also, what server and client are you using.
Sounds like a network error or security issue,
All working here and when I installed, didn’t require any special touches.
Assume you have PMS set up and did the initial sign in when the install completed.
Plex HTPC requires Windows 10 or later (64-bit only) or macOS 10.13 High Sierra or later (64-bit only). I think Linus is close or done
Working now. I shut everything down and restarted, the program did a refresh, and is now connecting and working.
It started just as I was preparing to get the logs (wouldn’t you know)…
