Plex for IOS infinite loop download problem (Feb 27 feedback problem, many users have confirmed the same problem, we paid for it, but it can't be used normally for a few months, please PLEX respond to this problem.)

Tons of logs have been provided. Admins & devs have been tagged and drawn to this post, unless they ignored it. Your customers basically figured out the issue for you, now all you have to do is say “We’ve heard you, we’re working on it and we’ll keep you posted.” and then have that not be a lie.

Customer service isn’t hard, people manage to do a good job of it while making $10/hr. Weird how a bunch of admins and devs who undoubtedly make more than that can’t even manage the simplest form of customer service for their paying customers. Makes me wonder how much profit I could make just stealing Plex’s idea, doing it better, and then actually communicating with customers…

We are not avoiding anything. When we have new info we will provide it, if we need more info from anyone here we will ask for it. Unfortunately it has been a hard issue to track down the cause of.

I admit to having a hard time understanding, the problem appeared following an update reverting to the old version or putting the old download system.
The maximum compatibility function does not work on certain files.
And especially even in original download the file is downloaded proportionally to the number of files that you put after:
The 1 file will be downloaded 1 time
The 2 times 2 times
And it can go up to 6 times.
And you tell us that you still haven’t determined the cause in 2 months?
Many of us have concerns so it should not be complicated to analyze the concern.

When the file and download several times it does not look like an error if you have a pc with Plex you will see that the file and well validate on I0S, but it continues to download in the Plex pc utility or Mac

Has anyone tested if the IOS version on Mac M1 poses the same problem?

I’m having a similar problem on Android, I try to download something and it just keeps downloading over and over filling up all the space until I cancel it.

I had time to test and the problem is the same on Plex IOS under download on Plex mac intel with rosetta 2 no worries so the problem comes from the IOS client
A person was talking about DNS concerns that the downloads in addition went to a DNS.
But I changed the DNS of my IPAD still the same problem
But it would have been nice for Plex to answer us, it’s the least respect to give news of the progress for a problem that has been going on for months.

Hi, I’ve waited patiently for another two weeks, is there any progress on this issue?
Note: Download is a paid feature. Our users paid for this feature, but it didn’t work for 76 consecutive days. Does Plex have any compensation measures? Thank you

For 19 days the BigWheel employee at Plex has replied that he was not avoiding anything but was unable to tell us where the progress was for a problem that has been going on for months.
I think as consumers we have been more than patient.
We lost functionality for a product we paid for.
Yesterday an update was released but the problem is still present (server)
I think we need to publicize this lax, give low marks say how unhappy you are with Plex’s attitude

I reported on 2022-2-27 that there is a loop download problem when PLEX downloads multiple items. S4J4, Plex doesn’t care despite the message that says they’re not avoiding anything, but gives no information about:
The why (we know where the problem comes from)
The how (we are working on a solution we can give you a resolution in X months, week)
When it comes to reimbursement, apart from filing a criminal trial in class action, you already have to live in a country that does this kind of thing.
That’s why I said that you have to take steps to let other users know that Plex does not respect its customers, does not give an answer, in short, gives them very bad publicity.
It’s hard to get a good reputation but even easier to lose it
PS. Plex made a new update yesterday on IOS it didn’t solve anything we have a new logo, wouldn’t it be smarter to focus on this download problem which does not work on ISO and Android?

I think you shouldn’t say help but Plex when are you going to respect your customers and give us a solution

I am a Chinese user and use Google Translate, so it is difficult to make complex expressions in English.
