I have been using Plex for LG TV for 5 months, without problems, but recently (after update and change of the UI to new, modern one) I noticed, that there already the option for resync subtitles is missing. I can’t change the subtitle language too (I can only download English, and none other languages).
Please, can you help? Can I downgrade Plex version or back to the old interface?

I found by myself this menu (for turn back to old interface). But I will continiue to use the new one, because it is great! It is so light, fast, responsible (in way to ff or rw the movie), that I am not ready to give up and back to the old one
The missing subtitle resync is not such a big problem for me. And I read, that you’ll include it in later releases.
Again - THANK you for one of the greatest software products I ever seen, and continue to work in that way. We will support you.

I’m having the exact same problem. No more subtitles offset since the new modern UI and last app update.
Since I really need this feature to be able to watch my TV Shows I will revert. Does anyone knows when will be the next release including this features available ? Even a beta, I would be ok to test if possible!
Waiting for this, I will just downgrade to old version of the player!

Same problem here, cannot change the language, but don’t wanna go back, the new app is amazing. Any idea when this will be fixed?
Not sure if this applies to your problem. However, not too long ago I had to use the LG Plex client. I occasionally saw that I was unable to edit some of the .srt subtitles. Couldn’t adjust timing, font or font color. Some I could edit and some I couldn’t. I spent a long time trying to figure out why and what the differences were in these subtitles. Never saw any difference. Until…I stumbled across something on the web regarding .srt’s that are saved with “BOM”…what is that? It stands for “byte order mark”…still have no idea what that is…However, I use the program Subtitile Edit and the latest version has an option to “save without BOM”. Once I saved an .srt without BOM, the editing features in the LG Plex client came back. They are always available now. Hope this makes sense and helps someone. Thanks
I have the same problem and sure ALL LG users have it.
I also have this problem.
On my plex server I have the subtitles option to be only in portuguese (subtitles.org).
On the LG Plex app, subtitles are shown in English and cant be corrected to search in portuguese, although being set in portuguese in the server.
My girlfriend can’t speak english so that renders the app useless for us and will have to cancel my plex pass if it continues this way.
Please correct this problem as soon as possible as it is really incovenient.

Same here. This is really annoying.
Hello, new lay-out is great, but we encounter the same problem with the language selection of the subtitles. If you want to change it on the TV (ours is an LG) it is stuck on English. If running through tablet and cast to Chrome Cast then on the tablet-app the language can be set. I suppose by now the problem is known and a correction is foreseen in a future update ? Greetz.
I have the same issue, I want the Spanish subtitles, and can’t change it, only English, why??

That’s not how you solve the problem with the current version. That’s just not using it at all.

Guy’s, I had same issue and searching for solution since months, till I realised that you should not look for BETA version on your LG plex client, but for ‘test-flight’. I know it is the same stil…
So go to your account on your LG os Plex client, go jnto settings and look for test-flight.
Disable it. You will be ask for feedback, make a choice of the offered choices. Ones confirmed, the player will start to revert back to latest public version.
You need to login again and voila! Subtitle language selection of your choice!
