Well i guess thats mostly true but it doesnt help anyone (speaking customers here) if you just build a wall around that argument. Sure the should be or could be but there isnt. Sucks for anyone confronted with the problem but its not like there isnt a solution which is getting in contact. You sure could wait the day they add an option for users or give out documentations on how but id argue its not the best way for a company with competition? Man im just a single customer and if i had weight behind my name or a brand id try doing it myself. Hell i bet half the nvidia shields are purely sold because of ppl using plex. The time answering me could have been time writing a mail to nvidia. Im not trying to tell you how to do your work but come on… Please.
Version 1.35.1 has been released: Plex for Mac and Windows - #49 by Moussa
As per the auto-update, this version and the previous 1.34.1 shipped with an updater that was actually broken. We are working on a workaround on the plex.tv side to fix the broken arguments these versions send in their update check but it’s not ready yet. Additionally the workaround will only work for those who are logged in. So if you want it now, please download/install it manually from: Plex Download
Thank you to everyone who tested this app. It did provide us with information we needed to find the route forward.
Looks like the auto-updater in this version is broken so you’ll need to grab it manually rather than wait for the auto-update.
