I updated a few days ago to the latest version, and the windows player version is now very slow when I open any window/menu inside plex
show information, collection edit window, movies edit window and so on
EVERYTHING is now slow when its have to open a window !!
AND non too slow to use it !!
I am on windows 10
And I did not have any problem with previous version of plex !
They are aware, there is a lot of discussion about it and they confirmed it on Reddit plus they pulled the update I think
I came here for the same exact reason. This version is abysmal. It has a major delay after you click something, and the sluggishness makes it unusable to me. I’m glad this isn’t just how Plex is going to be from now on. 
A new test build is available to address the stuttering issue.
This fixed the issue, thanks. But will I receive regular updates after installing test build?
Worked for me, thanks. I figured it was running in software mode since making the window smaller greatly improved performance.

I had the same issue but the version you posted fixed it for me. Thank you.
My issue is that it takes forever for the app to even open on my desktop. Once I click the icon it can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 1min for it to even pop up. Once it’s open, no issue navigating or playing files.
Uninstalled official version and installed this test build, and no change. No other app on my PC does this, so I’m not sure what’s going on.
