Plex for Mi Box S is not playing any video since last update on Mi Box S few days ago

Armv7a working for me as well.

I confirm : working fine with version arm7 and new player enabled.

Thanks for your well appreciated help

I have two Mi box S-es as well and plex stopped working on both since the latest System update from a few days ago. If I disable the new player the old player works with a few videos but most don’t play.
Hopefully a fix is coming

Thanks

Thew apk is not available any more

It will be probably merged into the next (beta) release, so you need to be a bit patient for the release.

Hello,

I have the same problem. Exist any conclusion?
thanks in advance

I am having the same problem as everyone in the thread. Must use old player for Plex to work. Server is working on all other devices besides mibox s.

Is this a client or server issue? My guess is client. I am running Android client v8.0.1.17410 (0cf80098) on Andriod TV v8 on a MIBOX 3 as well as the same app version on my Andriod 9 phone. Get same errors as previously posted. I can gather logs if they will help.

Is there an ETA for a fix? Rolling back to old player does not resolve.

Can somebody please share the APK posted above here, it has been removed and I really want to try it!

There is a new beta release. Take that

Where would I find that? The downloads section on the Plex site just takes me to the Play Store which does not contain the beta release?

That’s not actually the solution, by the way (disabling experimental video player).

Disabling it, I still have to shuffle between Convert Automatically and Direct Play before a video will even load on the original/normal video player - and there’s no logic behind it because you constantly have to toggle it onto the opposite of what you have set, for every new video you open…

With experimental, the video doesn’t load no matter what.

The best workaround so far as been disabling automatic refresh rate.

But, that’s a workaround and not a solution as it removes functionality to fix a bug.

The problems already been fixed in beta.
