Hello,
When you’re on your motorbike with Plex in your pocket, you have no control over it (gloves, traffic, rain). You’re at the mercy of whatever it throws at you.
So when you select a playlist before putting on your helmet, you’d like the app to do whatever it can to go through the playlist, even when going through areas with no 4G, 3G or worse. That’s why I suggest that:
-
Add a user setting where If a song is playing and the connection drops, move on to the next song in the queue instead of starting over. This can happen 3 or 4 times in a row, sometimes 20 seconds before the end of 6-minute song. Enough to make you never want to hear that song again.
-
Add a user setting where errors are not reported to the screen but kept silent, while instead waiting until the connection is back again in order to continue playing. After one of the last trips I made where the music suddenly stopped, I realized there were around 20 superposed errors saying “there was a connection problem”. I had to select OK 20 times to make them go away. This doesn’t inform the user of anything, really, because if playback stops the user is generally aware that there’s a problem.
BTW I know I can sync stuff to the phone. The above pertains only to streaming.
Thanks.
