Testing this Plex for Playstation 4 I found this.
For PS4 Pro it is assumed that they have support for HEVC. But playing videos with this encoding appears:
That makes the video unwatchable.
And playing video H264 appears:

tried, no effect. From a smartphone and computer friends go, but not with ps4
Pros
- Looks gorgeous and way better than the old outdated interface
Cons
- Crashes with the same old error we have since the last 3 years
- Sluggy broken navigation, everything is slow
- Sometimes the controller stop working and have to close and restart the app
Please this is my main media center, it was already not good but now it’s even worst. I like the new UI but I would like to roll back to the less buggy version. I can’t believe this is out as a stable version.

I know that, in case that the subtittles are activated, the video will be transcoded. But, in the HEVC case, there is no subtitles activated. I’ve checked it just after your answer.
Ah sorry, it’s a little harder to read the logs without the corresponding server debug log lines. I think the issue is that the video has a vertical resolution of 2560, is that the case? If so that would be the reason. The PS4 can only handle videos with a maximum resolution of 2160x4096.
I have ALL the same problems as you with the added one of now with the latest version of the app it just freezes at the select user screen. I can let it sit there for hours and nothing responds, force close and restarting just ends up the same.
Tried deleting and reinstalling and now it just freezes on the sign in screen.

I’m really missing the “Add to Queue” option when browsing my music albums. It was there in the old interface.
I know I can do that when remote controlling e.g. from Android app, but that’s not always convenient.

Another annoying issue is when you send a song from your phone app to the ps4 app it just freeze there.
If you need more logs do not hesitate to ask.

Having a issue where I seem to select which movie Or show I want from my remote server on a different network and all I get is a loading wheel not buffering just the title of the movie and the yellow wheel and the movie never starts.

With the new Plex version on my PS Pro, it start correctly only the very first time.
Any other attempt using Plex, i get an infinite loading screen with no error message.
Only if i delete Plex and reinstall it… it works again, at least login in the first time.
Sorry this sucks big time, i had 0 issues with the old version…

We had a hell of a time with the Vimeo app last night, and a few crashes tonight. Is this stuff you want logs on or are you aware and working on it already?
Just updated the app to latest version, now I cannot even select a user as it seems to be frozen. Reinstalled multiple times but again the PS4 App is broken.

Is this the place to post logs etc, or is another thread better? Looks like our joy is shortlived. We are updated to the latest version that just came out, but it seems buggy and the buffering problem continues.
