Plex for Samsung: problem with videos that have internal subs

Server Version#: 5.35.2
Player Version#: 1.25.9.5721

The newest version of the Plex for Samsung App (Tizen 4 and Tizen 5.5) can no longer play correctly videos with internal subs if the sub is changed to other one while playing the video. After trying to change the sub to other idiom, the player can no longer load the video from there (“eternal” black screen with the loading animated icon).

Also, even without changing the internal sub, that is currently impossible without fail, you can’t fast forward the video that has internal subs anymore, because it will just froze (image frozes with the loading animated icon there, “forever”).

Also, in some series, when you go back from the player that just froze, the season video list won’t show the not played videos anymore.

The logs (Tizen 4) are attached.

Thank you!

This looks a bit like the problem I have (both on Samsung and FireTV stick) that it used to play mkv files with vobsub subtitles embedded, but now fails to show subtitles unless I change to srt

Very annoying

What sub format? There are multiple kinds

Hello!

It’s indeed anoying and happened with two series at the same time and exactly after the Plex server and Plex for Samsung updates (that’ why I was guessing that was a Plex thing).

But I made a test and downloaded other files (rip) and that ones had no problem at all playing, skiping and loading the subs. So I’m guessing that the original files had some kind of problem, not Plex.

The sub format was SubRip (.srt).
