This has been going on for weeks across multiple versions. I have upgraded, downgraded, uninstalled, and reinstalled. I have not removed all settings or migrated yet.

After 30-60 minutes of functioning, my PMS will hang. The processes are still running. If I have the console up, I still get new logs running. Yet no Plex client can connect to it (even trying 127.0.0.1 from the host). On the browser page from the local host, the favicon and the background load, with the spinning orange circle with no content loading until I assume it times out and shows the free stuff.

I don’t see anything in my console for errors or warnings, which doesn’t mean much. Tautulli doesn’t see Plex as down either during this hung status.

Windows server has had basic Windows troubleshooting done (sfc, updates, etc.) No other reported issues with the things I’m running on it.

I’ve wanted to migrate my bare metal PMS install on Windows Server to an Nvidia container (for HW transcoding compatibility) but wasn’t really looking to be forced into it right now lol

Didn’t want to migrate to another box and possibly bring my problem with me, so posting here.

I see some errors related to the anidb agent

There was a issue with legacy python agents on windows that was fixed in the latest beta released yesterday but this is the first i have heard of hanging ( for others it would just not get metadata). Could you give 1.32.1.6999 a try if you have not already.

So I did see the anidb plugin errors, but didn’t think that would randomly break plex after using it for years.

I’m installing that update now, and I’ll report if it crashes still.

yeah i figured it may be a long shot but worth a try.

For good measure (because why only do one thing when troubleshooting, so you can pin point what the problem is), I removed the anidb bundle. I didn’t realize how old it was, and I don’t even mainly use it (as it’s a backup). So we will see if the update and removing that will fix this issue.

Happy to report, 24 hours and no crash! Case closed (probably removing the bad agent fixed it.)

Currently facing the same problem. Tried updating to the latest beta version 1.32.1.6999 and it worked well for a few hours but unfortunately it ended up doing the same thing.

@BigWheel - Would you mind taking a look at my Logs, PMS has basically become unusable at this point with the crashes happening very often. Thanks

I’d recommend make your own post (since I posted I’m good, and I still am), as most of the time they want one per ‘issue’.

I made my own post right after but got no help. Still having the problem. Was really hoping the Plex Employee would take a look at my Logs.
