Is anyone else having this issue? Plex never seems to stop my tuners from “recording”. Even though no one is watching anything and nothing is scheduled to be recorded. It just keeps whatever the last session was open as though it was still active. When you try and watch something live it makes you choose to close all but one of the tuners in order to watch.
The problem is that there’s no option to close all tuners so I can never get plex to think anything less than all tuners are recording (if I close one for live tv it’s immediately in use for that live session) and so plex never records new material because it thinks all my tuners are in use all the time.
I’ve tried deleting the HDHomerun from plex and reinstalling it and I’ve tried unplugging power and reconnecting the physical HDHomerun box as well, but nothing resets my tuners.
Yes! Mee!
I feel like it was related to my install pipeline…
I connected my HDHomerun Duo hardware to my server, then pulled it up on plex first, and it was working fine, then I installed the HDHomerun App (Mac 10.12.6 Sierra) and it did a firmware update, now I can’t get any channels to tune, and it lists then in use like your screenshot.
AND when I “Delete DVR” it doesn’t actually delete all the info, because when I try to set it up again it remembers all kinds of shows I set to record etc… I want it to fully delete.
Thanks for the heads up but I’m hoping for more of a long term fix. My plex server runs on a dedicated computer and rebooting it everyday doesn’t seem ideal. I have it set to record Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. So if I reboot it today to clear the tuners, tomorrow it will think they’re both in use again as it doesn’t close recording sessions appropriately.
