Plex Home & Access To Sonos

Server Version#: 1.41.3.9314
Player Version#: ios 8.45

So I am having a problem understanding Plex Home, Plex Home users and Plex Home User abilities.

BLUF: I am the Plex Home Admin. I have Plex Pass. I’m trying to add my wife as a Plex server user such that she has access to our music library and can control our Sonos S1 players the same way I do.

Her Plex user account is part of my Plex Home (after much struggling trying to figure out how to do that). However, even after being a member of my Plex Home, when she clicks on the Media Players icon in the app & tries to select Sonos, she gets a pop-up saying that she needs a Plex Pass.

I thought that all users under the same Plex Home had the benefits of the Plex Pass as well? Is there a step that I’m missing here?

The his is a quote from the plex support site:

#### Members of a (Plex Pass) Plex Home

If your Plex account is a member of a Plex Home and the admin of the Plex Home has an active Plex Pass subscriptoin, that will also unlock the Plex for Android app for you, while you remain in the Plex Home. To do so, simply sign in to the app using your Plex account.

This is our situation, except this snippet calls out the Android app specifically, and she’s on an iPhone. Not sure if that’s just an oversight in the doc or if this would for some reason only apply to the Android app?

Whelp, found this: :money_mouth_face:

The last column refers to “Plex Account in Plex Home”. So much for “Members of a Plex Home get all the features of the Home admin’s Plex Pass”.

I’m not against paying for the feature, but 2 x Plex Pass seems steep.
