I’m trying to set up DVR for my mother in Plex. I want to have an easy interface for her, that’s the reason I want to use Plex and not TVHeadend.
The tuner will be recognized as an Unsupported Tuner.
However, scanning is working if I use the correct settings. I can’t complete the configuration, because I get stuck when it comes to the Guide settings. Most of the time I just get the “Unable to load channel mappings” error. Sometimes I get to choose a Guide setting, but I can’t save it, because there was an “error”.
Anyway, the other problem that I’m facing is, that as soon as someone is using the SAT>IP server, Plex is not able to use it anymore. The SAT>IP server has 8 slots for 8 individual TV streams.
The other client in the network uses slot 1 automatically and the next slot 2 etc. However, Plex seems to only use slot 1. As soon as someone else is using the SAT>IP server, I don’t get any results scanning for channels.
I saw in the logs, that Plex “sees” 8 slots.
Any idea of how to tell Plex to use the other slots/streams?
