I cannot get Plex to display A Date with the Angels starring Betty White. It is a little known series from 1957. I’m sure that I am missing something small but I’d like to watch it on Plex. I have named it both A Date with the Angels and Date with the Angels and neither seems to work. It doesn’t appear; There is another series on the same set of dvds - Life with Elizabeth. It shows up fine.
It is currently named: Date with the Angels(1957) {tvdb-71299} S1E1-E13

Make sure you follow Plex naming and organization requirements for TV shows.
- TVDB/TMDB ID on show folder, not file name
- Use a Season folder
- Two digits for season & episode numbers.
/TV Shows/Date with the Angels (1957) {tvdb-71299}/Season 01/Date with the Angels (1957) s01e01-e13.ext ← ext = mkv/mp4/etc.
You may need to Plex Dance the show after renaming/reorganizing.
TMDB and TVDB list the show differently. Configure Plex to use the desired episode ordering.
TMDB: One season, 39 episodes
TVDB: Two seasons, Season 1 = 12 episodes, Season 2 = 21 episodes.
- Edit the TV show (pencil icon)
- Select Advanced
- Set Episode Ordering as desired
- Save Changes
- Refresh the metadata for the show if Plex does not do so automatically.
File named as above.
