Hmm, instead of rolling out new features, how about making the ones we pay for actually work?!
I would advise anyone considering shelling out a large amount of cash to ask themselves what they need it for and whether what they want it to do actually functions properly.
With hindsight, I wouldn’t have bothered - the DVR is a dog’s breakfast unfortunately with no sign of much improvement given the amount of reading I have now done after the fact.
To top it off (see other threads) I have now been spoilered for The Apprentice last night because trying to timeshift the programme afterwards (Newsnight) resulted in it starting from the beginning of The Apprentice: You’re Fired instead of Newsnight which was on directly afterwards and both shows were set to record…
Further putting the boot in was the CONSTANT message on the Plex Sheild TV client that the Newsnight recording had failed, so I had to stick the iPlayer on because I couldn’t watch anything else because of this annoying message appearing every 20 seconds!
I could not recommend paying for Plex Pass to any of my friends - even with a discount given all the recent problems especially the EPG issues still ongoing for 5 months now.
I tried to use the PLEX4LIFE code and it says it’s not valid. Is this for new users only? If so, I may consider dropping plex pass altogether.
Only for new members which is total BS! Screw over the customers that have been paying them for years!
yeah but, to be fair, it is standard to only offer deals to new customers for every company.
Could you could cancel your monthly Plex Pass and then get Lifetime-Pass as a “new” customer?
Nope, tried that but doesn’t work. I reached out to billing but just got a form response. I cancelled my subscription. Encourage others to do the same. Plex continues to screw over paying customers and I’ve had enough.
I was thinking of going lifetime for discounted price but it seems it’s not available for me. I feel screwed and leaning towards JELLYFIN now.

Probably I found the reason why it’s not working any more:

Deal was only valid for new PlexPass subscribers, and yes it has expired. now.
