I need help, PLEASE, I woke up one day and ‘Plex’ just stop recognizing my “WD ‘My Cloud Home’”!..
I reinstalled everything, I have the latest version of media server, I did follow the best I could the recommendations and nothing seems to work… I am a retired international Analyst Programmer (IBM AS/400 in RPG) for invalidity of chronical depression and bipolarity, I can not function properly any more! I do need help because ‘plex’/’mycloud home’ was my refuge, the only thing that makes me happy as possible because I have a device full of movies and series I love (the legends are a must in series)… I will be eternally grateful if anyone helps me!
Ok, I will tell you what happened, hypothetically the problem could only be caused by a change on the Plex architecture or so that caused the Plex media server to stop working on my WD my cloud home.. I did follow the Q&A and nothing worked, I used my cloud home account on my computer and unfortunately there’s no way to start the Plex media server due to a programming error from the WD end.. The solution was: install the my cloud home app on my mobile phone and then you can start the Plex media server on my cloud home, give access to libraries and automatically all my devices start to recognizing it!!!… A Sony Bravia, A Samsung TV, my HP laptop and of course my Huawei P20 PRO… I did report the problem to WD and I hope this comment helps anyone in need!..
