Summary
On macOS 26 beta developer build 6, Plex Media Server successfully detects and tunes my HDHomeRun FLEX4K tuner but fails to sustain playback. Streams either do not start or play for about one second before showing “Playback Error. This live TV session has ended.”
The same hardware, network, and Plex configuration works flawlessly on macOS 18.6. The issue appears specific to Plex’s handling of the MPEG-TS stream under macOS 26 beta.

Steps to Reproduce

Connect HDHomeRun FLEX4K to network and verify in HDHomeRun Mac app (tunes channels successfully).

Install Plex Media Server on macOS 26 beta 6 (M4 Mac Mini).

In Plex Web App, add HDHomeRun FLEX4K manually via IP or auto-discovery.

Attempt to watch any live TV channel via Plex (direct play or transcoding).

Observe that the stream either fails to start or plays for ~1 second before error appears.
Expected Result
Live TV stream from HDHomeRun should play continuously in Plex as it does in:

Plex on macOS 18.6

HDHomeRun Mac app on macOS 26 beta

VLC on macOS 26 beta
Actual Result
Playback ends within ~1 second with: Playback Error
This live TV session has ended.
Additional Notes

Lowering streaming quality and disabling transcoding in Plex has no effect.

HDHomeRun Mac app on same macOS 26 beta machine streams without interruption.

VLC successfully plays direct stream via http://[HDHR-IP]:5004/auto/vXX.

Firewall is off; local network permission for Plex is granted.

On macOS 18.6 with identical hardware/network setup, Plex Live TV works without issue.

dns-sd -B _hdhomerun._tcp returns “STARTING” but no broadcast results, though Plex can find tuner after manual IP entry.
