Plex Live TV and Movies & Shows menus show in pinned however Live TV says “An error occurred, please try later” and Movies & Shows says "No items in directory.
I have 2 Plex servers, one in my LAN and a second at a remote location. Logging into either shows the same thing although I see Live TV & DVR for both as well as can see Movie storage devices on both. I also can see Plex provided Music/Web Shows & Podcasts.
All folders are allowed. Anyone have any hints on getting the Plex provided TV and movies to show>
After troubleshooting for some time I have found that the Plex agent for windows shows Plex Live and Movie/Shows but the Android agents will not. Someone recommended rebooting the Android agent so I have tried logging out and in with various user profiles…I have tried clearing cache/clearing data and Force stop…all with same results…no Plex Live TV nor Plex Movie & Shows…all the other libraries/pinned menu’s appear to show up fine including Plex Web shows/Music and Podcasts. All libraries are enabled. What gives…I could use some Plex support to determine if this is a bug in the Plex Android Agent or if I have done something wrong in my server config…

One final note…I removed the Android agent from Android box. re-installed from Google Play store…tried live TV without signing into my servers…no live TV “An error occurred”…tried Movies & Shows and it indicates Directory is empty…so obviously something is not right in the Android Plex apk…
Yep…I had downloaded 8.15 from Google Play store…that seems to be the issue…got 8.16 from Aptoid and now everything shows up and is working. Guessing now the issue was the apk rev and Plex needs to update their Play Store apk…what a pain to have to track…Really like Plex product but their attention to detail is a different story. Sure hope it improves, I don’t have time to play troubleshooter for a TV product…it needs to be straightforward and work or people just settle for other services…
The app is updated… just takes some time to be automatically rolled out to all clients. From what I’ve seen in the past this can take up to a few days.
