Plex - Logs in to server but won’t share content - Samsung Series 7

So after recent August 13th update I’ve unable to access content on remote server through SmartTV Samsung Series 7 v1360.

Advising ‘kindly ask the plex home admin to share content with you’

When I go direct to the Plex Data Centre it advises ‘Plex Data Centre is Currently unavailable.’

I’ve verified the server is running and we have tested new accounts and tried to access other accounts to see if I can see content, but still nothing.

I used my PS4 connection (same home network) with Plex app and works fine, no issues.

I’ve no issues with network connection and have reset router.

  1. internet works and Plex works on other home platforms
    1a) other streaming platforms work ok on Smart Tv (Netflix, Prime etc)
  2. Samsung Series 7 version is current version
  3. deleted Plex on smart tv and reinstalled and rekindled Plex centre - still not working
  4. made Some new accounts through admin data centre. found I could Still not see content but able to login. could see content through other Plex platforms
    5)problem started August 13th 2020

When you say you verified the server is running… have you verified it’s accessible from outside that server admin’s home network?
Could be an issue with their remote access

Not sure about the “admin data centre” – can you share some more information on that?

Well I can view the data on the server and can access it via my PS4 without issue.

It’s when I use the smartTV with the same login it does not allow me to show content

I’ve confirmed that yes other people are using the server elsewhere.

I have the same problem. It occurs only on samsumg televisions, on other devices it works perfectly.

Are you, by chance, running a VPN on your Plex server machine?
