I have this problem since a very long time, at least for 6 month now and it’s driving me crazy.

Problem description:
Most of my mkv files have embedded srt subtitles, but I guess it happens with external srt subtitles too. After some time (it differs everytime) the subs are simply not displayed anymore. When I pause and select some other subs or “subtitles off” and than back to the initially selected srt, the subs are back again, only to be gone again after some time.
I see this problem exists since 2017, it really is time to fix this. I will try to make it reproducable a little better and also can provide logfiles if needed.
