Mac OS 10.15.7 (Catalina) unable to install Plex Media Player. After choosing “open anyway” and authenticating the app will not install. “Plex Media Player.app” contains malicious code, although I download from Plex.tv download site. Any ideas of the cause?

Try using the right/ctrl-click menu and selecting “Open” from the Application folder. That usually authorizes the app validation - though I’ve had to do it twice in some cases.

After clicking 3x I finally have it installed. Does not exactly make any sense why it suddenly worked.
Really weird but it’s working. Thanks for he response.
