Installed Media Player and Media Server numerous times and still unable to create libraries. In Media Player I can click on ‘your media’ and get the ‘Add your media to Plex’ with the note to ‘Get Plex Media Server.’ I will go through the process of installing the Media Server and when I click on ‘your media’ again I go to the same "Add your media to Plex’ with the same ‘Get Plex Media Server’ box. I just loops but never gets me anywhere. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
You have to complete the Server installation. If you can, it’s best to do it from the PC you have it installed on.
In your browser go to: http://127.0.0.1:32400/web
When I access the server using the 127.0.0.1 address nothing has changed. When in the Player I still have the ‘Your Media’ section but when I click on it I get the same web page mentioned above. Thanks for your help so far!
Your server hasn’t been connected to your plex account. Perform the below procedure to the letter.
Make sure to use a stock web browser which is free from interfering add-ons, like script blockers, ad blockers, privacy guards etc.pp.
Make sure to disable any VPN software and any special routes which may be hiding in your hosts file.
I re-installed Media Server and connected to my account without a problem.
I downloaded a copy of Firefox and installed without addons.
I do not run any VPN clients on this computer and I checked the hosts file and that is clean.
What I don’t understand is when I am in Media Server and trying to add media I still get the box tell me to install media player.
