Plex media server broken on nvidia shield tv pro 2019

Since the last OS upate for nvidia shield new content isn’t being added to my library.
I watched the status report and can see the server scanning over the folders so i know it can see them, but it fails to actually process and add them to the library.

I can only assume this has something to do with the most recent shield update as nothing else has changed since the last time i added something to plex.

Any ideas how to resolve it? Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

How many videos did you try that aren’t being added?

Because it appears to be scanning, I’m a little suspicious that whatever you added is being matched as a duplicate with something else

When that happens, it gets hidden under another title and you can’t find it

If you’ve tried many items in different libraries and nothing shows up you might have to post your logs

I’ve tried 3 different tv series, none have worked. One with 9 seasons, one with 4 and one with 1 season.

The thing is the scanner normally stops briefly on new items to process them. But its not doing that, just moving straight past them.

So on your advice i looked through the logs and found the exact moment its trying to scan them in.
I can see exceptions being thrown saying ’ database disk image is malformed’.

Watching the console i can see database corruption errors:

We did have a power cut last Tuesday. Unfortunately i would think then all the backups would contain this corruption as its been almost a week.

Any way to fix this without having to rebuild the entire server?

Interestingly I’ve just checked my backups and it appears to have stopped making them since the 6th. The day before the power cut.

I restored the database to the last backup a week ago and the issue has now been resolved.
Lost abit of watch history but not the end of the world.

From now on i may double check for issues after power cuts etc
