Hello all,
Does anybody tried latest version (1.25.8.5663) ?
Issue is still present ?
Issue still persists in version 1.25.9.5721 (latest).
I can confirm that the issue is now fixed for latest version (1.26.2.5797).

You can update without any hesitation now. ![]()
Like you can see in the External Subtitle Files section, we can precize the Language_Code, but it is not write that it will pick the right character encoding.
You can even see in the Supported Subtitle Formats section that it is write that character encoding should be in UTF-8.
So, like @OttoKerner said, you can use subtitle edit to convert your subtitle.
- Open Subtitle Edit.
- Tools → Batch convert
- Drag and drop all your subtitle file that needed
- Make sure that UTF-8 with BOM is selected in Encoding
- Click on Convert
PS: In 2022, your subtitle file should always be in UTF-8. I don’t know where you take your subtitle, but your source should updated how they work.
