- Please make absolutely certain you do not have media anywhere in the PlexMediaServer shared folder. If you do, please make a dedicated shared folder for it and move the media there (e.g. /volume1/movies, /volume1/tv, -or- /volume1/media/movies, /volume1/media/tv, etc)

Yes I have 2 NAS (QNAP and Synology).
With Synology I have Plex Media Server installed and running and I have the following Folder structure (no Media in the PlexMediaServer" folder):
/volume1/Film → for Movies
/volume1/photo/personal → for personal photos
/volume1/video/personal → for personal video
/volume1/music/flac → for music
For my understanding i have set the library accordling to the above structure… but even on Synology NAS when Plex Media Server scans the library i got an error “Something went wrong” with no other specs on error (Please find attached log).

With QNAP ., how can I act to add the Video library to Plex Media Server? Need to install the Plex Media Server on QNAP (in this case the version must be the older version as for my QNAP Sw version which is 4.2.6 (and can’t be updated to 4.3 ad Plex M.S. new version requires).
In any case with the old Plex M.S. supported version how can I operate as Plex M.S. fails

First, you must EDIT each of your Synology library sections and fix the folder name error. One of your library sections is pointing to /volume1 only. This causes it to scan everything on the NAS. This is what makes it break.
There is nothing you can do about putting Plex on the QNAP.
QNAP instructed us to make the lower limit be QTS 4.3.
What you can do is to NFS mount media from the QNAP onto the Synology.
This works very well.
If you need help enabling NFS server on the QNAP and then mounting your QNAP shared folders into folders on the Synology, I can help with that.
(I have both QNAP and Synology NAS systems here in my office)
I do not know if you have Docker capability on QTS but you MIGHT be able to install a newer version of Plex in a QNAP Container Station (Docker) container.
If you can do this, then you can mount Synology shared folders on the QNAP and use the media on QTS

For that concerns my Plex M.S. on Synology I’m still in trouble as i went through the setting and among my libraries i don’t see “/volume1” alone… where can i Check?
