I have been a Plex Member for years and years! I have never really had any issue, up until a month ago, when my Plex Media Server stopped working on my PC.
At start, I couldn’t access the Server. I would get messages saying I didn’t have the permission to access it, and I had to claim the server somehow. As I couldn’t find a solution, I’ve decided to start anew. I uninstalled the Plex Media Server (following the guide online: uninstalling, deleting the folder and the registry entries), and installed it again.
Ever since, I have been unable to get the Plex Media Server back up. I have tried to install (and uninstall), a handful of times. Always with the same outcome…
After installation, when I click “Open Plex…”, the browser just stays there, with a message saying: “Getting ready…”.
I am out of ideas for fixing this issue.
Can someone please help me? I’m going insane… It’s the first time I am having a problem with Plex (and I have been using it for more than 10 years, I think!).
