Plex media server losing connectivity - Synology ds418 play

Player Version#: 6.6

connectivity to media server is lost at least 1x per day - the only way to regain connectivity is to restart media server on the synology.
Everything had been working flawlessly until I upgraded plex server to 1.18.5.2309 (see note below about synology RAM upgrade)
I have since uninstalled (via dsm) 1.18.5.2309 and went back to 1.18.3.2156 which was working fine prior to all this. Even with 1.18.3.2156 I am
having the same issue now of losing connectivity.
Attached is a zip of the most recent logs - I did lose connectivity after the restart today due to cell signal dropping out as
the commuter train went thru the tunnel - but had just restarted the server prior to that (about 6:50am)

  • Synology ds418Play.
  • mainly apple devices used to view (ipad, iphone and apple tv)
  • Network: Unifi stack (CK gen2, USG, Nano HD AP, 16 port poe switch).
  • synology has 2x4GB crucial memory sticks (the 2nd 4GB stick was added a few days prior to this issue, but nas rock solid every other way).
  • I will pull out the latest 4GB memory module and pop in the 2GB syno memory and test, but it was running fine for a few days prior to my upgrade to 1.18.5.2309

Version 1.18.6.2368 seems to have fixed this for me. Prior to that version I was having to restart the server on a daily (sometimes more) basis. Installed this version last Friday and it’s been fine since.

I am really sorry for my delay getting here.

Since 1.18.5, a lot of things have changed.

I would like to get to known stable ground.
Uninstall the package.
Download 1.16.6 from Package Center and install it.

After installing and allowing to autostart,
Give it two minutes to adjust from 1.18.5 to 1.16.6

If you’re still having trouble then I will need a fresh set of the logs to compare with.

What I did find in the logs looked like normal DirectPlay activity except for the that client drop out.
