I have just installed PS on my QNAP NAS (latest Firmware) and have added my movie and TV show collections, but have noted the movie collections have not been created with their related movies ?
Is creating movie collections a manual or and automatic background process ?
Also posters.backgrounds are not loading - is this also a manual process or an automatic background process ?
You can configure Plex to automatically download collection information as part of The Movie Database metadata. That being said… while The Movie Database has a number of metadata information, Plex will only check if a movie is part of a collection and the collection name (no posters, descriptions).
Some users don’t like the collections they get if they enable that (usually because some “metadata” battle at the source of that metadata, where some members of their community create collections for every release that might get a sequel or when discussions about a sequel start) and decide to manage their collections 100% by hand.
