I recently discovered that my Synology NAS Plex Server was showing “not authorized” in the Windows 10 app. I was able to finally fix that issue but now the server is showing offline in the iOS application.
I’ve deleted and reinstalled the application on iPhone. Logged out and back in multiple times and it sees the NAS but shows it as offline.
What is going on with this? Any assistance is appreciated.
Check the settings for secure connections. Make sure they align.
Server: Settings → Network → Secure Connections. Required / Preferred / Disabled
Android Plex App (I don’t have an iOS device, but it should be similar)
Advanced Settings → Allow Insecure Connections. Never / On Same Network / Always
If, for example, the server is set to Required and the client is set to Never, then the server will show as unavailable.
Thanks for the advice. There isn’t a setting like this in the iOS app. Under Network you could manually configured the internal IP but that fails and there isn’t an option for secure/unsecure like on the desktop app.
That would be nice but I can’t even add them. They’re no longer there and when going into the area to find the hubs and pin them it’s showing offline there as well.
