Hello and Happy Holidays for Everyone!
Long story sort:
- I got my Samsung Smart Q80TATXXH 2020 Tv, installed Plex App on it.
- Register and download plex media server on my pc and setup my server and libraries
- PC (server) and the TV (client) is on the same LAN network (i tried Wifi as well)
It’s worked on my pc(Win10/64), phone(android) and tablet (android)
On my TV however… its sign in to my account and i see my media server but its “This server is offline or unreachable” or on 5.1.3 app version “Insecure connections are preferred and the selected server cannot be reached insecurely with your current settings. You can change settings>main>allow fallback to insecure connections and try again” .
What i done ?!:
- Read the manuals and guide-s how to setup my media server
- Network: Secure connectons : DISABLED
- Remote access is enabled on private network but currently is off with public IP but i think its not necessary for LAN connection
- DLNA server is enabled
What i tried?!:
- Set a static IP to my PC (so my PMS as well) and my TV too - didn’t worked
- Set up on the tv app manual server connection IP - didn’t worked
- Quit Early Access on my Plex Client app - didn’t worked
- Set up another user on plex and tried to share my server - didn’t worked
- Reinstalled the app on tv and media server to my pc also tried to factory reset for the TV - didn’t worked
- Firewall settings are fine with plex but i turned off the entire thing - didn’t worked
- Set up the “Allow Fallback to Insecure Connections” to always - didn’t worked.
- I tried to clear all my Authorized Devices and relink with plex , everything worked fine and well except my TV… still offline or unreachable my PMS …
Any ideas how to connect the TV bought in 2020 to the up to date plex media server?
