Plex Media Server on a DS218+ can't see the sub folders within the media folder

I have installed the latest version of PMS from the Plex website to a DS218+ running the latest DSM software.

PMS installs fine however when I try to add a library and navigate through /Volume1/VIdeos where I then have a set of sub folders containing TV, Movies etc PMS cannot see them.

So it must be a permissions issue? I’ve been through the and validated the following:

Plex user has R/W access to the shared videos folder
I’ve also been through File Explorer and ensured that the sub folders are all R/W from the flex user.

What’s going on?

Was permissions. Everything looked fine in DSM. Used ssh to change the permissions to 600 then onto 777 as per the FAQ.
