I noticed the last 1-2 weeks, that my server settings are very very laggy and clunky. Sometimes I’m waiting for 1-2 minutes for that specific setting to open. Could anybody help me with that? I tried 4 different browsers, deleted cookies and stuff in my main browser, but they’re all extremely slow, while all other UI related things work flawlessly.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Maybe you have an idea @OttoKerner? You’ve helped me so often with these things in the past.
Hey Otto, thank you very much for joining. No this just happens, when the Web App is opened for quite a while. When it’s initially loaded it’s ‘lagfree’. I already tried to delete PMS cache, but I don’t think this did the trick, couldn’t test yet, because I just woke up Do you have any idea about it?
I haven’t experienced the problem you describe in Plex Web. However, PMP is definitely a better player than Plex Web. Might solve your problems with server settings as well.
@FordGuy61 Well, it’s not about the player experience, but about the server settings, as described in the title of this thread. As I already stated everything else but the server settings work fine. I don’t need a good player experience, I need working Plex Server settings…
I know PMP very well and I’ve been using it for years, anyways you don’t have server settings with it, so this isn’t of much help for me, but thanks for the suggestion
You can change server settings in PMP just like in Plex Web. Was thinking that if Plex Web is slow to load web pages, PMP might be more responsive. Apologies if I misunderstood.
@FordGuy61 You really can? Ok wow, so the misunderstanding’s on my side I didn’t know. Was this introduced in latest versions? I don’t use PMP anymore for a couple of weeks, because my main Plex driver is a PS4 now, but I’ll give that a shot, thanks. Even though this feels like an overkill to download PMP only to access the server settings, if I just would like them to work on my browser, but thanks!
Here’s a screenshot from PMP on my Win10 PC after selecting “Settings” from the home screen. No idea why you’re having problems with Plex Web. Just thought PMP might be an acceptable workaround until Plex Web issues resolved. Cheers.
@FordGuy61 oh holy moly. I totally forgot, that there’s the web view in PMP also I’m used to the new layout so much, that I didn’t remember Thank you very much, Mr. Ford!
A possible solution for Plex Web would still be nice though
