When I select Preferences from the Plex Web Server icon it opens the Plex Web App. Yesterday and all days before it opened server preferences, but today it doesn’t. Is there a way to fix this? (I’ve tried restarts) Thanks
Plex Web is what you use to manage your server. If it’s not automatically going to your server settings page, you can do that manually. Click on the settings icon in the top right (the wrench and screwdriver icon). On the next page, find your server name on the left. The server settings are everything below that.
When I click on the wrench there are no server names displayed on the left. Instead I see: Account / Online Media Sources / Authorized Devices / Webhooks / Users and Sharing – then a gap and then Plex Web - General / Player. That’s all.
I’m having the same experience.
I click on ‘Open Plex’
It asks me to choose a user and enter my PIN
It takes me to the player, but none of my libraries are available
As described by @colinspence the wrench doesnt show any servers or server settings, just the same list he describes
I have confirmed that I am logged into the correct user
I have tried to ‘Update Plex Server’ but that follows the same path; as soon as I enter my PIN I am stuck in the Player app in Edge (same experience in Chrome)
@colinspence I looked into your account and it does not show you have an active Plex Media Server on your account. It shows 1 server from a long time ago.
@RichyRoo Your account also shows no current Plex Media Server. Last contact was 2 months ago.
For both of you, please try using the locally hosted Plex Web. If it responds than your server is at least running.
If PMS is running but you still can’t get access it, please check our support article Why am I locked out of Server Settings and how do I get in? | Plex Support to remove any account configuration with your server. This should then allow you to reclaim the server to the account you are writing from. Or it will help identify the account currently being used and you can then switch to signing in with that.
