For those who play at the command line:

@appstore- where the binaries are -
@apphome- where the metadata is -
@apptemp- where the temp files are
You should NOT need play with any of these areas.
Great pain has been taken to ensure you don’t need to.

Playing with Linux mode permissions or ownership will cause breakage.
