Please let me show you from the FAQ I wrote and you can tell me.
It all seemed straight forward after I figured out how to uninstall the current package.
However I did not see the message about “PlexMediaServer …”
When I subsequently launched Plex, all I see are the online choices, no locally stored media (i.e. what I was seeing before I followed your steps).
Update:
I had made an error.
When re-installing (the screenshot with the blue hyperlink) I think I left the options at normal and then went ahead and pasted the claim token.
Repeating the step but choosing Install using Plex Claim Token seems to have worked fine.
Now off to visit the various clients.
