Server Version#: 1.16.3.1402
It has been month now that I cannot update to the latest server version all it does is the following:
The Server is installing an update and just spins
I have literally left this for a whole day and it does do the update.
Again this morning an update version of 1.17.0.1709 was released it download and stucks at the installation part before I never has these issues it worked find.
Please can you tell me what this is happening and why I cannot update
This wouldn’t explain why the internal upgrade is broken, but have you tried closing Plex from the system tray, downloading the latest installer file, and installing from that?
Where must I download it from?
so why cant I do it as per normal why can it only be done this way im going to try it now

It may have just been a problem with the last upgrade. You’ll have to try it again next version update and see if it works like it should.
Uninstall 32bit version, and install 64bit version if possible. Ever since I went to 64bit, I have not had a single issue on my Synology. When I used the 32bit version, I always ran into similar issues.
Did you grab a cup of tea? It doesn’t upgrade if you dont.

Did you move your Plex data folder away from its default location on drive C: ?
Has anyone had issues adding a DVR since the 1.17.0.1709 update? I add the network info for my DVR and after clicking “Continue” I receive an error page. I have tried this several times with reboots and troubleshooting, ect.
I’m having the same issue on Windows and yes, I’ve moved the data folder. What is wrong here? Automatic updates during maintenance isn’t working either
