My first time using Plex. I Installed newest version of Plex Media Server (1.14.1.5488-cc260c476) on my windows 10 pc (most recent updates installed) and I can’t get the Server to open on my machine. The Plex app on my browser just says “looking for servers” but never finds it (the roku sees it as does media player). I can’t open it to add to it or anything, though. Clicking on it in my start menu or home screen does nothing.
After doing a little searching online I found that some had registry issues… but there is no local host file in plex there. I also did not see any specific windows event error that occurred when I tried to start the server. It just acts almost as if I didn’t do anything when I try to start it.
