Hi there,
So recently I’ve been trying to get my plex remote to work outside of the local network. It does stay connected for over 1 hour but then disconnects
- I’ve set my IP address to static on the local network adapter.
- I’ve reserved my IP in my router.
- I’ve port forwarded 32400 and my remote port as TCP.
- I have allowed those local and remote ports through my firewall on my router.
- I don’t have any VPN installed on my computer, I just a VM host, but my public IP address stays the same as the one provided to me by my IP provider.
- I do have connected through ethernet through on my extender, but I have checked for double nat and it doesn’t seem to be an issue.
- I’ve also made a custom rule on the firewall on windows to allow the local and remote ports inbound and outbound.
