I have to change thousands of files when it used to work and when, as you have seen, there are ptrps files that accept them with the same format.

You have to follow the naming guide
Search for a utility named filebot
And it is the solution!

Valid for Plex 
And you could for a small test see if just renaming a few episodes, makes it work, aka the solution 
You have to consider this:
- You invented your own naming std. that is unknown to Plex
- Plex has it’s defined naming std. that I linked towards
- Plex naming std. has not changed ever!
- Plex agents and scanners changes, due to optimizing, as well as bug fixes
- As such, what worked for you, on your own std, might not work today!
So please use the official std, and use something like Filebot to make it easy for you

Usually this “works”. Usually I do not get in an accident, and usually I am not arrested by the police.
When I am pulled over by the police, I do not use the excuse “I speed every day, and usually don’t get caught.”
Mostly though Plex tries really hard to make good guesses. You’ve been lucky!

the problem is another. I have 50 teras in plex. Even using filebot I will be more than a week to leave you well even with doubts about a change that has not existed in 5 years. The 1x01 format worked and works and those that have stopped working work in some cases, in a clear problem of the release
Above doesn’t mean it’s part of the naming std.
Perhaps ReNamer Lite from den4b would help with that many files. It may take a few hours but certainly not a week.
I’ll preface this with “You should follow the documented naming standard. It is reliable and the most likely to continue working in the future.”
Having said that, @manual_pantoja, have you noticed any changes in the last week?
I was looking at the TV Series scanner script, and I think it TRIES to match XXX or 1x07 naming.
You said that nothing had changed on your end. Something must have changed somewhere.
There were other forum topics about matching including spurious data and being too strict. I saw one about a change in the Plex cloud. For at least one other user, this change improved their matching. I’m trying to find that topic thread again …
I wonder if it could have been affecting you.
So I’m curious if you test again, if things are still behaving the same way.
