Plex MetaData not pulling correctly

Hi,

Hopefully someone can help with this.
I’ve gone into settings>agents>Films and selected “The Movie Database” and only have the movie database selected.
However, it’s pulling through the wrong genre for movies. If I look at a movie like “Cell (2016)” it shows “Action, Drama, Science Fiction, Thriller” as the Genre while The Movie Database has “Horror, Science Fiction, Thriller” as the Genre’s.
How do I get it to update correctly? I’ve removed the entire film directory and re-added the directory to refresh the metadata but still it shows incorrect Genre.

Is there something I’m doing wrong?

Is your file perhaps a mp4 / m4v file?
If so:
Go to Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB
In there, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents.
Repeat the same under
Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase
+
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
+
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase

Afterwards ‘Refresh Metadata’ on the affected movie(s)
In some extreme cases, you migth have to perform the Plex Dance
