Plex no longer playing TV shows remotely

I think is since the last plex media server update a few days a go. (Plex Pass)

I’ve noticed that I can no longer play any TV shows either locally or remotely using either the web browser or Plex app on my phone. They will however play locally if I use Plex Home Theater.
Movies all appear to play fine. Is there a place to get older versions of the Plex media server so I can make sure that its just this new version I am having issues with?

You upgraded several versions of Server software. The newer versions use downloadable codecs that get installed when needed (first time).

Manually download version 1.5.4 from the download page and re-install it over top of what you have.

I just gave that a try and I still get the same thing. on TV shows it just sits there buffering like its going to start but it never actually starts… Pretty strange that Movies play fine however…

Note: I did the “repair” option when reinstalling the new version… I wasn’t sure if the uninstall / reinstall would nuke my database.

Looks like this is already being worked on. Seems alot of people are having this issue…

I’ll just sit tight for a Plex Server Update.

I got the 1.5.5 server update and that fixed the issue, thanks for getting that fixed so fast!
