Plex no longer recogises my Plex Server (Plex Cloud) after Shield update 7.1.0

Hi, I updated my Nvidia shield tonight, when my shield rebooted Plex did not recogize my Plex Server (Plex Cloud).

I can see other shared servers but mine only shows the “localhost” which is empty because I use Plex Cloud.

I can see my server on my pc, so I know it exists etc.

Any advice on how to get Plex on my Shield to recognise my Plex Server (Plex Cloud) would be greatly appreciated.

I conquer. These are the times when it would be great if a Plex employee can come out and acknowledge the issue or let us know if it was intended or not.

I am having the same issue on iPhone, Playstation, and Fire TV.

Same issues with me here on both of my Nvidia Shields, as well as my iphone. I can successfully access it via my computer, so I know it’s online.

Man. Still nothing… pepa pig on Netflix I Guess. :sweat_smile:

I have installed Kodi on my laptop and added Plex, it works and recognises my Plex Cloud Server.

I then installed Kodi on my mobile phone and added Plex, it works and recognises my Plex Cloud Server!

So my guess is there must be a problem with the Plex Android apk not recognising my server.

I will install Kodi on my Shield tonight and hope it works - assuming this issue has not been resolved by then

still nothing for me with my mi box 3 and also for my iphone… stil could not find my plex cloud server. see what awaits us tomorrow then.

Try to install Kodi and then add Plex to it. You should be able to see your server on Kodi. i have tested it on my phone and it works

Still waiting on the fix… a team member commented on my thread about the topic saying they are looking into the issue.

That’s good that you have got a reply. I was starting to get a little worried because there had been no come back on my thread

As a side note. After upgrading my shield to 7.1, I did notice the Plex client updating. The bug could be in the updated Plex Client

I just checked the google App store and yes there were a new version pushed. See the complains in the store reviews lol https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.plexapp.android&hl=en_US
