Plex no longer recognizes PC where Server Is

Server Version#: 1.25.3.5385
Player Version#: ??

Hello!
I had this problem once before, and it required wiping my computer with the server.

Tried in FF, Chrome and Edge.

My computer hosting my Plex server is no longer able to connect to my Plex.tv account. I just get a grey user icon on the top right with Keyboard Shortcuts and Switch User as the only options on that computer.

When trying to log into the Plex.tv Web site I get a white screen under “Account Sign In”. This is only a problem on the computer that runs the server. My other computers in the house can log in.

I uninstalled the server on the appropriate PC and used a new installer by copying over the software from my other computer which can connect to the site. Still the same problem.

Tried a VPN called Private Internet Access which supposedly works well with Plex to see if it was something from my provider, AT&T. No dice, same response.

The last time I solved this by completely wiping the PC, but it didn’t solve the original problem as it is now back. I’d really rather not have to do that again considering all of the customization I’ve done.

Please help. I thank you!

Can you reproduce this on the computer that’s running your PMS using a private browser window or disabling any browser add-ons / blockers?

Given you can access the server from other machines it’s unlikely to be linked to your ISP or something reinstalling the server will fix.

Thank you for the reply. It was doing the same thing even in private browsers. Apparently, for some reason, the entire Plex.com domain ceased to allow me to log in to anything from the computer the server is on.

I wiped the PC and just finished putting everything back in place. It’s working now, but I still have no idea what went wrong.
