The PS3 stopped being supported in 2017. That app is not receiving any more updates.
Presumably, “Lifetime Plex Pass” means your lifetime, or the lifetime of Plex as a product, not the lifetime of your favorite PS3 app that just had a major stroke and seems unlikely to recover.

A lifetime Plex Pass does not guarantee your favorite device will be supported by Plex… The PS3 is highly outdated and could be considered RETRO so I suggest you find another client to enjoy your amazing Plex Pass like the rest of us.
I urge you to buy an Android or Roku device.
PS 3 still rules in our house! We want PLEX to work - NOW! Why are we constantly being pushed onto newer and better versions when our machines are still functioning properly? Do we say to our grandparents, I’m sorry, but you are no longer being supported? No. We make the necessary adjustments so that they can continue to have a fulfilling life as long as possible. Please help us continue to use PLEX on our PS3!
