Running plex on Synology DSM 7. Everything was working fine no updates or changes and plex stopped adding new tv shows or deleting old ones I’ve deleted in the file directory. It is however adding and deleting movies just fine some of which stored on the same drive as the tv shows that are not updating. It is not a file naming issue as I’ve edited the names and matched working seasons/series and am aware of file naming issues with plex. I don’t believe it’s a permissions issue as I’ve already granted plex full permissions of every drive to get plex working after migrating to DSM 7 and plex was working flawlessly before this started happening. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated!!! Sorry in advance if there is already threads on this I could not locate
Update: it appears it has not added any TV shows since migrating to DSM 7 however does let me play them which it didn’t before editing permissions. Movies as I said before are updating just fine on the same drive
Plex Media Server version? Available via Authorized Devices.
Reset permissions for your media folders. See first post linked below for instructions. Please follow the steps in the post even though you have previously checked permissions. It ensures the user PlexMediaServer has access to your media.
If you are still having issues, check the log files for database corruption. Database corruption is easy to spot in the logs. See the second post linked below. You can check yourself or post your log files to the thread (attach the entire ZIP file).
If permissions reset does not help and there are no signs of database corruption in the logs, then do post the log files to the thread. There may be something else going on

Thanks Trumpy! Just to make sure everything goes smooth what should I select for log file configuration? Screen shot attached.

Sorry screenshot is barely visible the options are the following.

*use PMS internal storage
*tell PMS where to write log files in field below
Once again you’ve saved the day, Thank You Trumpy!!!
