Plex not connected to internet

My Plex app is saying not connected to internet but smart tv is connected with no issues. Tried uninstall and reinstall. Tried logging out and back in. Nothing is helping. Need assistance. Picture added of what shows on screen when going to movies or tv shows. Plex app on iPhone works fine.

That looks like the Android TV app. Can you get me the log from the app? https://support.plex.tv/articles/201573117-android-android-tv-fire-tv-logs/

I don’t know how to do that. Can you send me instructions? I tried to turn I log but it keeps turning off after a few minutes. I did find this (in photo) but then I get error message when trying to go to site ( also photo)image image

Did you include the “/logging” part at the end?

I tried. It won’t let me see the log

That sounds like your TV and computer are not on the same network. Are you using repeaters or network extenders of any kind?

Hi - I am having the exact same problem. Plex app on Amazon Fire TV Cube for some reason wont connect to the web. Yet, it connects to my server and other apps (netflix, youtube, etc) seem to have internet access with no issues.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

@anon18523487 I have the same issue after updating a week or 2 ago. Also, library no longer allows you to select folders, or sort. toshiba android tv logging.zip (545.0 KB)

I hace the same issue too

What version is your server. if it is old update should resolve

Ok - just updated the Plex Server. Took a little while and a few reboots of the app but that seems to have done the trick

@BigWheel I am now suffering from this exact same problem too using Plex on my Sony TV (Plex v 8.1.2.18135). However I am having to run PMS Version 1.17.0.1841 because your hardware transcoding has been broken for intel graphics since the introduction of v1.18 and still remains broken even with v1.19. There are almost 60 replies on this thread with people utilizing Intel graphics that have been having this same thing and for some reason, Plex employees choose to sweep this issue under the rug or pretend it doesn’t exist: Artifacting when using hardware acceleration transcoding with integrated intel graphics

Here’s a network log I pulled from the Android TV client: plex-androidtv-network log.txt (1.2 MB)

As a Plex pass holder, this is seriously pissing me off.

It has already been reported to devs.

That is the exact same reason i’m running 1.17.0.1841 with my intel nuc i3 8100. @BigWheel is the only option to upgrade? I’m not really willing to do that until HW transcode is fixed for intel graphics.
