Plex not recognizing "Aired Order" vs "DVD Order"

I am trying to add “The A-Team” but it doesn’t matter what I select they end up showing the same. I have them named like this:

A-Team\Season 1\The A-Team - S01E01 - Mexican Slayride.mp4
A-Team\Season 1\The A-Team - S01E02 - Children of Jamestown.mp4

but it shows up as:

Mexican Slayride (1)
Mexican Slayride (2)

Even though TVDB shows them different. I have tried totally removing the entire season. emptying the trash and adding them again. Also updating the metadata doesn’t help either.

Another user has tested it on their server and it is doing the same thing.

I think this might be caused by tmdb having an incorrect external id to tvdb for episode s01e02. I have fixed this now The A-Team: Season 1 - Mexican Slayride (2) (1983) - (S1E2) - Changes — The Movie Database (TMDB) linking it to the correct episode.

Give it 24-72 hours for the plex back-end to pickup this change and then force refresh the metadata on your server. If not then someone from the plex metadata team may need to take a look at their back-end.

Alternatively you could do this using tmdb episode ordering but you may not want to do that :slight_smile:

A-Team\Season 1\The A-Team - S01E01-E02 - Mexican Slayride.mp4
A-Team\Season 1\The A-Team - S01E03 - Children of Jamestown.mp4
etc...

Yes, I know that I can rename them, but I am trying to get it to work without renaming the rest of the files. Thanks.
