I’ve removed media, cleaned bundles, emptied trash, readded media to the same result.

My kids have a show Between the Lions. It has full episode information available on thetvdb.com. For Season 2, it works perfectly. For season 1, it only downloads the title of epidsodes 6,7, and 24. All are available on thetvdb. Posters and banners work correctly. Any idea whats happening?
Go to
- Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB
In there, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents. Repeat the same under
- Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase
- Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
- Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase
Afterwards, ‘Refresh Metadata’ for the whole series.
This is happening to me now too. Cleaned bundles, optimized database, reordered meta data agents.
Not downloading titles correctly.
If you did that, you’ll have to download and install Plex server again.
This procedure was deprecated ~ 3 years ago.

How are files named? How are they now recognized by Plex? Which type of library did you put them in?

TV shows. Files are named by sonarr in the format listed on plex’s help page. Season folders, showtitle sXXeXX - episode title.
Right now it just says “episode X” for titles where X is the number. Doing it for a few shows.
Did you reinstall Plex? Otherwise there won’t be an agent to download the right metadata.
Don’t try to add media to several libraries at once. Only try to add new media when all other activity from previous additions has died down.
Please share server logs:
- activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
- quit Plex Server
- wait 1 minute
- start Plex Server
- wait 2 minutes
- either refresh one series or add one series into your library
- wait 3 minutes
- fetch log files and attach them here

Try this:
- Tell us the root directory of your TV-Library
- Do the PlexDance on Westworld
- Upload a fresh set of logs.
And looks like some metadata comes down!
You live only as long as.... so also make sure, that your media file doesn’t have a hardcoded title tag in your mp4 or mkv file!
Did you actually perform the steps in my very first response above?
i did, no luck. the logs i posted above are from a new show, shar objects, and i ran the scan this morning.
it can be tough because if its a show with a lot of episodes, it doesnt work for all of them, so i have to manually go through each episode to see which it didnt work for
Then please tell us the name of that show, so we have something to look for!
And when said, did that show miss metadata, or was that a title issue as well?
Seems to be only titles for this show, show is sharp objects
Which language is set as library language?
Clear the agent cache.

Please disable IPv6 support under Settings - Server - Network - ‘Show Advanced’
