Guys downloaded the app and had to subscribe to plex pass. Just too excited to pass it up.
Speed seems similar to native device connect in webos and faster than playz app. Big 3d files buffer at first but play smoothly after buffering about 4 times in the beginning. My local stream is set to 8mbps (recommended).
One problem though: I canât remove the player controls and it wonât disappear automatically. Can anyone help with this??? Thanks! (Just read the entire thread. Seems this problem is experienced by many)
OT: I canât turn the scroll button since it became too slippery. Does turning that hide the control overlay?

As I say, if you start movie from Non-Magic Remote, player controls disappear automatically few seconds later. Don't forget. If you touch Magic Remote while watching movie, player controls appear until stop and start again with non-magic remote controller..

Thanks don't have a non-magic remote. GOOD NEWS THOUGH: if you have a compatible lg model you can download the iOS app tv remote. Overlays hide with it.
Bad news again: the LG WEBOS REMOTE APP (IOS-iPhone) disconnects and never pairs back. You need to download every time your phone goes on sleep to get it paired.
Fix fix fix! it's just the control overlay that wont hide. Should be easy to do.

You wound us up real good so we're very excited about the LG client app. I dont mind it being unfinished for now but please fix the control display. We just cant watch with all of that over the video!
Wait is this a plex pass preview version similar to the roku app?
If it is can I chime in and provide feedback?
- Forward and rewind is a chore. Selecting points in the timeline would be more efficient.
- The tile interface aka win 8 ui is ok but unless recommendations are based on individual usage most would probably just go straight to âall moviesâ / âall tvâ
- Continuos play for TV shows.
- Buffering until a big file can play without buffering for the entire show (similar to Apple TV). This could be a custom setting. I hate wires and would rather connect disks directly to my tv than have Ethernet/ rj45 running through the room.
- Easier way to control trailers. Being a new plex pass subscriber havenât had the benefit of seeing a trailer even if I have set PMS to show â2â.
- Music (playlists) I want to say goodbye to iTunes and Apple TV. I use spotify but still go back to my library now and then.
- Mentioned: maybe click to hide player overlay rather than play/pause.
8, scroll tile ui using magic remote rather than clicking arrows or moving by going from artwork to artwork.
- 3d subs are mostly blurred or cross eyed.

- If doable rotten tomatoes or imdb reviews.
- Audio boost doesnât seem to work. (Latest OS X and LB50 smart/3d TV.).
- Webos app launch background color can just have the same color as the Icon rather than pink. [emoji51]
- Someone from plex to respond to this trail now and then would be nice.
- Maintenance commands on the TV may be helpful.
- Social functionality ala spotify for reco and following may help us enjoy the experience more and help spread the word for plex.
- Use of back button on the magic remote to navigate back from any screen. As of now I have to go back to âhomeâ and drill back down to where I was just to go one level up.
Same issue here the overlay is staying on screen. I would be more than happy with that fixed!

Use this last night with no issues, i noticed it always transcodes, anyway to get it to direct play more?

They might accept visa or MasterCard debit cards. Should eventually be offered to non-plex pass subs. The app however may not be free and become a paid app by then similar to plex for iOS.

I mean if one day plex pass won't be required in order to run the app on my LG Smart TV because I'm not a plex-pass subscriber and I do not want to spend that much money to the subscription! :)
Well I donât blame you if you donât see the value of a plex pass. At the end of the day theyâre a business that can only continue to provide the Sevice with our support.
I found a workaround to hide the control overlay without a non-magic remote.
Let the show play a bit then hit stop and click continue play. Playing from the start of the show maybe the bug in the current version of the app.
Is this app going to be available on older LG TVs? 2012?
Guys for some reason the back button functions and controls whether or not your playing the movie from the start or not hides automatically. Funny thing is I did not notice the app update.
Still no trailers and extra functions though.
